In March and May 2019, I got the opportunity to travel to the Municipality of Kristiansand, Norway, with the RISE_SMA project. As overall working task as Data Protection Officer (DPO) for the coordinating University of Duisburg-Essen I checked whether there are further actions required with respect to other countries’ legislation (especially Norway) within this secondment.
In preparation of the kick-off meeting in April 2019, I much dealt with the development of an internal travel management system that allows to keep track of all project trips for each beneficiary.
Besides a presentation of a recently published journal article (“Digital nudging and privacy: improving decisions about self-disclosure in social networks”) that deals with supportive elements to improve the privacy in social media, I worked on the initial version of the RISE_SMA Data Management Plan in consultation with the Norwegian RISE_SMA meta group members ‘Data Sources and Management’.
Last but not least, I took the opportunity to meet up with acquaintances with whom I studied as an exchange student in Kristiansand. I was also able to push ahead with study and publication plans with KRS practitioners and UiA researchers.
